NLC is designed to support and facilitate students with their online classes. It is not a school. Instead it serves more as a tutoring center. For example, a student may be facilitated if they are participating in the blended schedule that NMSHS now offers. They can attend their regular classes at the school and be supported with their online classes at NLC. Any student who is enrolled in an online class, with any school, may find support at NLC.

Parents will receive a report, after each session, explaining the student’s progress in their online classes. There will be a weekly newsletter, giving updates about what happen during the week at NLC. In addition to the work done at NLC, students will need support from parents at home. So, any questions parents have about what they need to do can be answered.

Each student will have an individualized plan/schedule that will best serve them. The schedule will be developed during the registration process for fall semester.

Our location is in the Nederland Community Center, 200 CO. Hwy. 72, 80466.

Nederland Learning Center is not responsible for student’s transportation to or from the Nederland Community Center. Students who will be traveling between Nederland Middle Senior High School (NMSHS) and NLC may choose to ride the RTD, which leaves NMSHS and goes to the RTD parking lot, just a short walk from the Community Center. Students who attend the 1:30 – 2:30; 4:00 – 5:00; or 5:00 – 6:00 sessions will be well accommodated by the RTD.

There will be no more than 4 students at a time in each session. Once 4 students signed-up for a certain time, that session becomes closed.

I will be writing a weekly newsletter so parents can stay abreast of the happenings at the Nederland Learning Center. I will also be providing a progress report after each session which will include an update on each online class the student is taking.
Please note: the organization and success your student experiences with online learning will be directly related to how your child is doing at the Nederland Learning Center.

Not at this time. You can register your student online to get started but the contract form needs to be printed and signed.
